Have you ever met someone and just knew immediately that you’d get along? Meet Jaime Petit!
That’s how it was when I met her during a final walk through with one of my clients. Jaime is a catering account executive at a local high end event venue and is great at her job. She has a background in management and banking, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, but has always had a strong desire to plan events. While she planned a few events for family just for fun in the past, she decided three years ago to make a career change, and hasn’t looked back! She really enjoys her job, which makes a big difference. Jaime’s clients love her for many reasons, but the main reason is because she puts their needs first, and her customer service skills are top notch!
Fast forward after a bunch of meetings and lots of fun with more clients, Jaime and I discovered that not only do we have the same work ethic when it comes to a client-centered focus, we also have very similar personalities and have a great time together both personally and professionally!
As you read in my post introducing Terri and her perfectionist tendencies, I think that any good event planner MUST have those “qualities” in order to do well. Yes, I call a touch of perfectionism a “quality” because our clients expect that every detail they plan gets executed to perfection. Jaime also has those perfectionist qualities. Currently working full-time as an account executive, she is responsible for planning an event with clients up to the event day then hands over the event to a banquet manager, but she quickly realized that she wanted to get day-of coordination experience to round out her skills. Just as Jaime’s clients love working with her, so do I. She is a perfect fit in our team and I’m excited to have her working with us.
When Jaime isn’t busy planning events, she loves to travel, spend time with her boyfriend Chris and their Chocolate Lab, Kahlua.
Our clients at Stephanie Day Events will reap the benefits of working with both Terri and Jaime either together with me or as a primary coordinator. I can’t wait to see what the three of us can do and I’m so thankful for these women who are helping me realize my dream!
